The amplifier came to the workshop with the following error message! "When it has played five minutes, the amp turn off the power". I found quite quickly a diagram. |

The amplifier came on the workbench. |

The amplifier was opened and troubleshooting could begin. the problem circled pretty quickly around a thermo-electric fuse inserted in the filament voltage circuit. |

With the amplifier turned on, the fuse after about 5 min. was so hot that it burned your fingers if you touched it, and the filament power was cut off. |

|
The thermal fuse was of soldered and replaced with a jumper. I have never before seen a fuse in the filament voltage circuit, so I assume that if something happens to the winding in this transformer, then pops the amplifier main fuse. |

The amplifier is finished and play without problems for hours. |
