Repair of 1968 Ibanez western guitar. |
In connection with picking up a gramophone running gear at Jan Lykke, I was given an Ibanez Western guitar made in 1968. The guitar has suffered a serious damage to the back side, the back side was cracked from the edge, corresponding to approx. 1/4 turn, just as the binding was broken. There was also a large tile off the top deck at the edge. furthermore, 2 tuning pegs were missing. |

I decided that the guitar should not be repaired to look new, but only need repair so that it retained as much patina as possible. The repairs carried out must show that there have been serious injuries. The hole on the front was filled with Epoxy glue mixed with brown dye . |

The back deck was glued to the side and the broken edge-binding was repaired with Epoxy glue mixed with baking powder and some dye. |
